People of Asian ethnicity, specifically East and Southeast Asian, have a different anatomical design to their eyelids. In fact, nearly half of this population is single-lidded, meaning they are born without a supratarsal eyelid crease. Eyelid surgery is a very effective way to create a crease above the eye in patients who seek such a change. Among people of an East or Southeast Asian ethnicity, Asian Blepharoplasty is the single most popular type of cosmetic surgery.
