Aging, gravity, genetics, environmental factors, and more can combine to produce a saggy lower brow. Drooping eyebrows and furrows between the brows can develop along with skin laxity, producing a much more aged, sleepy, and inattentive appearance.

Surgically, the most effective way to lift a sagging lower brow is a brow lift. With this procedure, the underlying tissue is released and lifted, helping to smooth the brow, erase frown lines, and give gentle rise to the eyebrows. Dr. Shuster utilizes the endoscopic technique for brow lift surgery. This option allows for tiny incisions, which reduces the risk of visible scars. The endoscopic technique also helps to minimize trauma and shorten the recovery period.

Brow lift surgery produces a more rested, alert, and youthful appearance by smoothing skin and lifting the eyebrows. It is commonly combined with eyelid surgery to remove dark skin from below the eyes and lift sagging eyelids, and facelift surgery to eliminate skin laxity and lift sagging tissue on the lower face.

Non-surgically, BOTOX® Cosmetic is an effective solution for a sagging brow. Recently approved for frown lines, BOTOX® Cosmetic works to relax the muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles, allowing the overlying skin to remain smooth for months at a time. BOTOX® Cosmetic can also be used to lift sagging eyebrows and erase crow’s feet, the wrinkles that extend horizontally from the corners of the eyes.

In addition to BOTOX® Cosmetic for non-surgical facial rejuvenation, we offer JUVÉDERM®, a dermal filler that is used to restore volume to sunken cheeks, hollow eye sockets, and collapsed temples. Dermal fillers can produce both immediate and long-lasting results, they require no downtime and can be performed with or without prior surgical treatment.
